DCS DeCard expands card issuing capabilities with Mastercard
By Divya Shah
Why it matters: The launch highlights growing demand for integrated corporate finance platforms that combine card issuing, spend management and treasury services to improve business financial control and efficiency.
DCS DeCard, a card and payments infrastructure platform powered by DCS Group, became a Mastercard issuer in Hong Kong, expanding its card issuing capabilities and strengthening its presence in the corporate payments market.
The company launched DeCard Business Account, a corporate card and spend management solution designed to help businesses gain greater visibility and control over company spending.
Initially launching in Hong Kong, the platform enables mid-market and enterprise businesses to issue Mastercard corporate cards while managing spending through a centralised platform. The solution combines card issuance and spend management capabilities into a single offering, simplifying the way businesses oversee corporate expenses.
“With DeCard Business Account, we’re simplifying corporate spending by bringing cards and spend management together on a single platform,” said George Jiang, Head of DCS DeCard.
The solution is designed to support both employee and operational expenses, allowing businesses to manage spending, billing, invoices and statements across a range of use cases. These include business travel, employee expenses, advertising, media buying and procurement activities.
At launch, DeCard Business Account offers USD-denominated corporate cards funded in US dollars. Combined with Mastercard’s global acceptance network, businesses can use a single USD balance to make payments across multiple markets.
The company said it plans to expand the offering into additional markets and introduce new capabilities over time, including treasury account management services.
DCS DeCard’s longer-term strategy is to bring corporate spending and treasury management together on a unified platform, providing businesses with greater oversight of how company funds are managed, allocated and deployed.
“Mastercard’s strategic partnership with DCS DeCard as an issuer in Hong Kong combines Mastercard’s global acceptance network with DCS DeCard’s deep payments and card issuing expertise to deliver a more seamless and controlled corporate spending experience for businesses,” said Helena Chen, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Hong Kong & Macau, Mastercard.
The launch reflects rising demand for integrated financial management solutions that give businesses better control over spending while reducing the complexity of managing multiple payment and treasury systems.
