Why it matters: The partnership demonstrates how AI is transforming compliance operations, helping payments firms improve fraud prevention, streamline verification processes and meet regulatory requirements more efficiently at scale.
MoneyGram, a global payments network, has selected AiPrise to support its compliance and fraud prevention operations across its international business network.
Through the partnership, MoneyGram integrated AiPrise’s AI-powered verification platform to strengthen how it verifies and monitors information across the markets it serves. The solution leverages more than 100 global data sources, helping the company improve verification processes while maintaining consistent standards across regions.
MoneyGram will use the platform to streamline selected verification workflows through a single interface, enabling teams to review information more efficiently and document verification decisions in a consistent manner across markets covered by the implementation.
“Verification is essential to operating a trusted global payments network,” said Bahar Sahajwalla, Chief Regulatory and Public Affairs Officer at MoneyGram. “AiPrise gives our teams a more simplified and comprehensive way to verify information while maintaining consistent standards across markets.”
MoneyGram connects customers across more than 200 countries and territories through nearly half a million retail locations, alongside its growing digital payments ecosystem. As part of its broader modernisation strategy, the company continues to invest in technologies that help improve operational efficiency, compliance processes and risk management capabilities across its global network.
The adoption of AiPrise’s verification platform is expected to provide MoneyGram with greater visibility into customer and business verification processes while helping teams manage regulatory requirements more effectively.
“MoneyGram moves money across more markets than almost any company in the world, which means their compliance has to work everywhere, all the time,” said Chaitanya Sarda, CEO of AiPrise. “We built AiPrise for: helping companies streamline complex verification processes using a purpose-built, AI-driven platform while giving compliance teams the information and audit-ready rationale they need to make confident decisions.”
The partnership highlights the increasing use of artificial intelligence within compliance and fraud prevention functions, as financial institutions and payments providers seek to improve verification accuracy, reduce manual workloads and strengthen risk controls across global operations.
