Paysafe expands PaysafeWallet into Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia
By Divya Shah
Why it matters: The expansion highlights growing demand for digital wallets that combine banking, payments and money management, giving consumers more financial flexibility across European markets.
Paysafe, a global payments platform, expanded its PaysafeWallet service into Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia, the company’s next phase in the rollout of its next-generation digital wallet across Europe.
Consumers in the three countries can now access PaysafeWallet through the PaysafeCard app, bringing together cash and digital money management in a single platform. The service is designed to give consumers greater flexibility, choice and control over how they manage and spend their money.
“Expanding PaysafeWallet into Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia reflects our commitment to delivering innovative payment experiences to consumers across Europe,” said Bob Legters, Chief Product Officer at Paysafe.
He further added, “These are dynamic digital markets where consumers expect seamless, secure, and flexible ways to manage their money online. PaysafeWallet has been designed to meet those expectations and support the evolving needs of the experience economy.”
PaysafeWallet offers a range of features, including IBAN accounts, personal debit cards, bank transfers and cash top-ups through PaysafeCard. Users can also make online and in-store purchases using a Mastercard debit card, access mobile payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay, send and receive SEPA transfers, make peer-to-peer payments and receive payouts directly into their accounts.
The expansion strengthens Paysafe’s presence across Europe and broadens access to digital financial services in key markets. With the addition of Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia, PaysafeWallet is now available across all euro-area countries as well as Poland.
The company said the rollout provides consumers with more options for accessing, moving and spending money while supporting growing demand for secure and flexible digital payment solutions.
The move also reflects the continuing shift toward integrated digital wallet services that combine traditional banking features with modern payment capabilities.
