Why does it matter: The investment highlights rising FinTechs adoption of agentic AI to automate operations, strengthen compliance and improve customer experiences across banking, lending and insurance services.

Desible.ai, an agentic AI startup focused on the BFSI sector, raised $3.31 million (INR 32 crore) in a seed-plus funding round led by Prime Venture Partners, with participation from existing investor Invention Engine.

The funding was earmarked to enhance the company’s agentic AI capabilities, strengthen compliance infrastructure, expand go-to-market initiatives and accelerate product development for financial institutions.

Founded in 2025 by Uttam Tiwari and Omkar Raikar, Desible.ai developed a workflow orchestration platform that automates customer engagement, servicing, operations and compliance processes for banks, insurers and financial services firms. Initially built around voice AI, the platform was expanded to support channels including WhatsApp, SMS and email.

“Voice AI is our entry point, not our destination. We are building an outcome-driven agentic workflow orchestration platform for BFSI enterprises. Starting with insurance, our goal is to help financial institutions automate customer, compliance, and operational workflows while maintaining the trust and regulatory standards the industry demands,” said Uttam Tiwari, Co-founder and CEO, Desible.ai.

The company reported working with or being evaluated by more than 40 BFSI institutions and deploying over 25 agentic workflows across areas such as customer service, collections, underwriting, claims, compliance and risk management. More than 10 million customer interactions were said to be handled each month through the platform.

Designed for regulated industries, the platform was built with compliance frameworks covering RBI, IRDAI, TRAI/DLT and DPDPA requirements. It also integrated with enterprise systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle and Zoho.

Gaurav Ranjan, Principal, Prime Venture Partners, said, “AI adoption in financial services won’t be driven by generic models alone. It will be driven by companies that deeply understand regulated workflows, customer engagement and compliance requirements. Desible.ai has demonstrated that AI can move beyond conversation and become an operational layer for insurers, which makes the opportunity significantly larger than traditional voice automation.”

Desible.ai said its long-term strategy is focused on automating end-to-end financial services workflows while enabling human teams to manage exceptions and high-value interactions.
