BTSE selects Solidus Labs for digital asset trade surveillance
By Divya Shah
Solidus Labs has been selected by digital asset exchange BTSE to power its trade surveillance programme, enabling the exchange to monitor and detect market abuse across its cryptocurrency and tokenised real-world asset (RWA) markets.
Under the partnership, BTSE will deploy Solidus Labs’ HALO Trade Surveillance platform to strengthen oversight of trading activity and identify potential market manipulation risks. The implementation is designed to support BTSE’s compliance team with behavioural and risk-based detection capabilities covering a broad range of market abuse typologies.
Jeff Mei, Chief Operating Officer at BTSE, said, “Since we’ve expanded our services to serve users in many different regions and countries, it’s become increasingly difficult to monitor each and every transaction for potential market abuse and manipulation. Deploying smart solutions from Solidus Labs will enable us to do so more efficiently, so that we can maintain a better playing field for our traders.”
The deployment comes as BTSE continues to expand its offerings across spot digital assets and tokenised RWAs, while also providing white-label exchange infrastructure to organisations building digital asset trading platforms.
In addition to core surveillance capabilities, BTSE will utilise HALO’s Model Testing functionality to simulate scenarios, fine-tune detection parameters and reduce false positives. The exchange will also leverage the platform’s Market Inspection capabilities, which provide visibility into broader market activity beyond BTSE’s own trading environment to support investigations.
The HALO platform is designed to identify suspicious trading behaviours, including spoofing, wash trading and ramping, across thousands of trading pairs in real time.
Diana Xu, Head of APAC at Solidus Labs, said, “BTSE has built a reputation for operating at the leading edge of digital asset trading, which requires surveillance technology built for the same speed and complexity. We’re proud to support BTSE as they expand into new asset classes, including tokenized RWAs, with market integrity built in from day one.”
The partnership reflects a growing focus among digital asset exchanges on enhancing surveillance and compliance capabilities as regulatory expectations increase and trading activity expands across both crypto-native and tokenised asset markets.
