Kinective, SWIVEL team up on core connectivity for financial institutions
By Divya Shah
Kinective and SWIVEL, a subsidiary of SWBC, have entered into a core connectivity partnership aimed at expanding real-time payment capabilities and simplifying integration for financial institutions.
Under the agreement, SWIVEL will deploy Kinective Gateway, an API integration platform, to support Connect2Core (C2C), its real-time payment posting and transaction visibility hub. The integration is designed to provide a standardised and resilient connectivity layer that streamlines implementation, accelerates onboarding, and supports future innovation.
Connect2Core integrates directly with financial institutions’ core banking systems and enables real-time payment data posting, giving users immediate visibility into account transactions. By leveraging Kinective Gateway, SWIVEL plans to enhance service delivery while supporting real-time money movement through payment networks such as FedNow and RTP.
Existing Connect2Core customers will continue to receive uninterrupted service during the transition. The partnership is also expected to reduce the complexity traditionally associated with core integration projects, enabling financial institutions to adopt new payment services more quickly.
Amanda Licona-Crocker, President of SWIVEL, said the partnership would help expand connectivity and speed access to new payment capabilities, supporting financial institutions in improving operational efficiency and customer experiences.
Kinective’s Gateway platform provides integrations across more than 40 core systems and over 100 fintech providers. The collaboration is expected to help SWIVEL introduce its real-time payment solutions to a broader range of banks and credit unions without extensive custom development work.
Dan Snyder, executive vice president of product at Kinective, said, “Data has to move the moment it happens, not on the next batch cycle. Kinective Gateway removes that barrier for SWIVEL’s clients now, so financial institutions can get connected fast, and their members see a payment hit their account the second it happens. That’s intelligent banking in practice.”
The agreement strengthens both companies’ efforts to support the growing demand for real-time payments and modern digital banking infrastructure across the financial services sector.
