TBC Bank Uzbekistan partners UZCARD for TBC Salom card
By Divya Shah
TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ) has expanded its flagship TBC Salom debit card through a new partnership with UZCARD, one of Uzbekistan’s leading domestic payment networks.
The collaboration follows growing demand for the TBC Salom card, which is currently available on the Humo and Visa payment networks. Through the partnership, TBC UZ aims to broaden access to its daily banking product and strengthen its position in the country’s retail banking market.
Spartak Tetrashvili, CEO of TBC Bank Uzbekistan, said the partnership enhances the bank’s ability to provide customers with a more comprehensive digital banking experience.
TBC Salom offers customers a range of benefits, including 12% annual interest on deposits, 5% cashback at partner merchants, free cash transfers and ATM withdrawals.
The UZCARD version of the card will also provide discounted fares on ATTO, Uzbekistan’s public transport payment system, enabling users to access additional everyday payment services.
As part of the first phase of the partnership, TBC Bank Uzbekistan and UZCARD plan to issue up to one million new TBC Salom cards, with further developments expected as the initiative expands.
The expansion also supports TBC UZ’s broader strategy of increasing customer engagement across its ecosystem. Alongside the TBC Osmon credit card, TBC Salom serves as an entry point to the bank’s wider range of services, including lending, buy now, pay later (BNPL), business banking, insurance, travel and ticketing solutions.
Alisher Yunuskhodjaev, Director of the Banking and Payment Organisations Department at UZCARD, said the partnership combines banking and payment services into a single tool that can be used across a variety of everyday transactions, including shopping, money transfers and public transport.
To support the rollout, TBC UZ will offer 5% cashback on all purchases during the first month after card activation. The promotional campaign will run until 31 December 2026.
