Mangopay launches Echo to simplify PSPs payments
By Divya Shah
Mangopay, a wallet-first payment infrastructure provider for enterprise platforms, has launched Echo, a new solution designed to help businesses centralise and manage payment flows from multiple payment service providers (PSPs) through a single platform.
The launch addresses a growing challenge for digital platforms that rely on several PSPs to support different markets, offer local payment methods and improve transaction acceptance rates. As payment volumes increase, platforms often face fragmented reconciliation processes, reporting structures and settlement workflows spread across multiple providers.
Echo enables businesses to continue using their existing PSP arrangements while consolidating post-payment operations within Mangopay’s infrastructure. The solution provides a single view of payment data, helping platforms track funds, allocate wallets, manage payment splits, perform reconciliations and execute payouts more efficiently.
Under the model, PSPs remain responsible for processing pay-ins, while Mangopay manages downstream fund flows once payments have been accepted. This gives platforms greater visibility into where funds are held, who they belong to and when they can be released to the appropriate user accounts.
Andy Wiggan, Chief Product Officer at Mangopay, said, “Each new payment provider means another reconciliation process, or another data structure that platforms need to adapt to. We built Echo to break that pattern and give platforms a flexible way to reduce operational costs from managing payment flows through multiple providers, while preserving their freedom to choose the providers that best support their business strategy.”
Mangopay said it has spent more than a decade helping platforms manage complex multi-party payment flows and that Echo extends its mission of providing greater flexibility and control over payment operations.
The company believes the launch reflects a broader shift in the platform economy towards more scalable payment infrastructures. Rather than relying on provider-specific payment ecosystems, platforms can maintain their preferred payment acceptance partners while retaining greater control over how money moves between customers, partners and the business itself.
