Murex, a provider of cross-asset financial technology solutions, has partnered with Google Cloud to enable deployment of its MX.3 platform on Google Cloud infrastructure, expanding cloud options for financial institutions modernising their capital markets operations.

The collaboration comes amid growing demand from banks and financial institutions for greater flexibility in cloud adoption strategies.

By combining the MX.3 capital markets platform with Google Cloud’s infrastructure, the partnership aims to provide clients with a scalable and resilient operating model for mission-critical workloads across trading, treasury, risk management, and post-trade operations.

Jean-Gabriel Eddé, Executive Committee member at Murex, said, “This collaboration with Google Cloud expands the deployment options available for MX.3 while reinforcing our commitment to helping financial institutions accelerate cloud transformation, simplify operations and adopt modern, scalable platforms that support long-term growth.”

The partnership is designed to support financial institutions seeking cloud-native operating models while addressing operational resilience and regulatory requirements. It also enables firms to advance multi-cloud strategies without compromising security or performance.

Under the collaboration, Murex and Google Cloud will provide cloud-scale performance for capital markets workloads, helping firms manage compute-intensive processes such as market risk, counterparty risk and intraday analytics. Clients will also benefit from enhanced operational resilience and cybersecurity through Google Cloud’s secure-by-design infrastructure.

The offering will simplify cloud operations through automation and cloud-native services, helping firms streamline deployments and improve operational efficiency across MX.3 environments. The partnership also broadens cloud deployment choices for financial institutions pursuing future-ready transformation strategies.

Georgina Bulkeley, Managing Director and Global Financial Services Industries Lead at Google Cloud, said, “Bringing MX.3 to Google Cloud reinforces our commitment to the financial services industry and combines Google’s leadership in AI, data analytics and cloud infrastructure with one of the market’s most comprehensive capital markets platforms.”
