Standard Chartered Capital appoints Abhinav Trivedi as MD & CEO

Standard Chartered has appointed Abhinav Trivedi as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Capital, strengthening the leadership team of its capital markets business in India. 

Abhinav Trivedi, MD and CEO of Standard Chartered Capital, said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as MD & CEO at Standard Chartered Capital Limited.”

Prior to this role, Trivedi served as Executive Director and Head of Retail FX at Standard Chartered Bank India, where he was responsible for overseeing the bank’s retail foreign exchange business. 

He also previously held the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Securities (India), leading the group’s securities business in the country. 

During his tenure with Standard Chartered, Trivedi has held a number of senior leadership positions across the bank’s financial markets and strategic planning functions. These include roles such as Business Planning Manager to the CEO, India, Director, Financial Market Sales, and Director, Financial Markets. 

His appointment as MD & CEO of Standard Chartered Capital expands his responsibilities within the group and places him at the helm of the company’s capital business as it continues to strengthen its presence in the Indian market. 

With extensive experience across foreign exchange, financial markets, and securities, Trivedi brings a strong background in banking and capital markets to his new role.
