MJ Digital Services launches Cashlo App for shopkeepers
By Puja Sharma
MJ Digital Services has launched the Cashlo App, a digital business platform designed to help shopkeepers across India offer payments, financial services and utility solutions through a single interface.
The platform has been launched on the company’s ninth Foundation Day and has targeted neighbourhood retailers and small businesses seeking to expand their digital service offerings and create additional income opportunities.
Cashlo has included a UPI Cash Point facility, allowing customers to withdraw cash at participating merchant outlets through UPI. The platform has also supported QR-based digital payments, mobile and DTH recharges, electricity, water and gas bill payments, FASTag and other services available through the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).
Rashid Ali, Co-founder of Cashlo App at MJ Digital Services, said: “We want to help shopkeepers do more through their existing businesses by combining payments, financial services, and everyday business tools on a single platform.”
The platform has also provided access to loan-related services, allowing eligible customers to explore personal, business and working-capital credit options through participating merchants.
Cashlo has further introduced Quick Khata, a digital record-keeping tool that has enabled merchants to manage customer and supplier credit records. Additional business services have covered accounting, goods and services tax (GST) and income tax return (ITR) requirements.
MJ Digital Services has positioned Cashlo as an extension of its digital financial services offering, following its Ezeepay Banking Mitra platform. The launch has expanded the range of services that merchants can provide through their existing retail outlets.
The platform has reflected the continued integration of payments, banking access and business utilities into merchant-facing digital applications as financial service providers have sought to expand digital participation among small businesses in India.
