IAA Credit Union selects Mahalo for digital banking
By Milan Rojan
IAA Credit Union has selected Mahalo Banking to modernise its digital banking services, as the US credit union has sought to strengthen online and mobile capabilities for members across all 50 states.
IAA has chosen Mahalo’s Thoughtful Banking platform to provide a more flexible digital experience, with the implementation designed to strengthen integration with its Corelation KeyStone core banking system.
The new platform was expected to expand self-service capabilities and give members greater control over their accounts. Planned functionality has included online account opening, self-service certificate renewals and a consolidated digital experience that will allow members to manage multiple memberships through a single login.
Emily McLeod, Chief Experience Officer at IAA, said: “We needed a technology partner that could help us build solutions around our members’ unique needs rather than asking us to adapt to a one-size-fits-all platform.”
The credit union has also highlighted Mahalo’s integration with Corelation and its collaborative approach as factors behind the selection. IAA has said the partnership will provide greater flexibility to introduce new functionality while supporting its operating model.
Denny Howell, COO of Mahalo, said: “IAA’s nationwide membership requires a digital banking platform that is flexible, scalable, and built to evolve alongside the credit union’s growth.”
The implementation has highlighted the continued focus among US credit unions on modernising digital banking infrastructure as members have increasingly relied on online and mobile channels.
For IAA, the deployment was positioned as a step towards improving self-service and consolidating member interactions across its digital channels, while maintaining integration with its existing core banking infrastructure.
The partnership has also demonstrated the growing importance of configurable digital banking platforms as financial institutions have sought to improve user experience without replacing their underlying core systems.
