Tabby launches fee-free spending account with cashback in UAE
By Milan Rojan
Tabby has launched Tabby Cash, a fee-free spending account designed to expand its services beyond buy now, pay later (BNPL) into everyday money management. The new offering has been introduced in the UAE following the company’s Stored Value Facilities licence approval from the Central Bank of the UAE.
Hosam Arab, CEO and Co-Founder of Tabby, said: “We started Tabby because we believed money should be flexible enough to work around your life, not the other way around. We’re building a place where people have full control over their money, with the same clarity and flexibility they’ve come to expect from us.”
The product has enabled users to open an account without account or card fees, alongside a cashback card and free local money transfers.
The launch has marked Tabby’s first product built under its newly acquired regulatory licence and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to become a full-service consumer finance platform. In addition to free local transfers, international transfers are expected to be introduced at a later stage.
The Tabby Cash Card has offered cashback of up to 3% on selected spending categories and international purchases for Tabby Plus subscribers, while standard users have received 1% cashback. As part of a promotional offer, all cardholders will receive 3% cashback until 1 November 2026.
Alongside the launch, Tabby has introduced a refreshed brand identity reflecting its expansion beyond flexible payments into broader financial services. The updated branding will be rolled out across the company’s app, website and customer channels over the coming weeks.
Headquartered in Riyadh, Tabby has served customers across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait. The company said it now supports more than 25 million consumers and 65,000 merchants, processing over $18 billion in annualised transaction volume.
