du Pay has partnered with GCash to expand instant wallet-to-wallet remittance services for the UAE’s Filipino community, enabling users to transfer funds directly from the du Pay app to GCash wallets in the Philippines.
The service has enabled customers to register using their mobile number and Emirates ID before transferring funds instantly to GCash wallets around the clock. Transfers have been processed through a regulated platform offering competitive foreign exchange rates and low transfer fees, allowing recipients to access funds immediately through the GCash ecosystem.
Roberto Mancone, CEO of du Pay, said: “The Filipino community is one of the most vibrant and hardworking communities in the UAE, and every transfer they make home represents a commitment to the people they love. Our partnership with GCash allows us to make digital financial services more seamless and affordable while supporting cross-border payments innovation.”
During the promotional campaign, eligible du Pay customers sending money to GCash wallets will also receive access to exclusive rewards, including weekly cash prizes
Recipients in the Philippines were able to use transferred funds across GCash’s financial ecosystem for payments, savings, credit, insurance and other digital financial services.
Arjun Varma, General Manager for GCash International, said: “This partnership with du Pay means that OFWs in the UAE can send money home with confidence, knowing it will arrive instantly and be ready to use across everything GCash offers. Mobile wallet-to-mobile wallet remittances are the future of how money moves.”
