OneAssist has partnered with FinTech platform Ezeepay to expand access to AI-powered smartphone protection for existing devices, enabling consumers across India to enrol eligible smartphones through Ezeepay’s retail network.

Shams Tabrej, Co-founder and CEO of Ezeepay, said: “Our partnership with OneAssist enables retailers to offer a trusted AI-powered smartphone protection solution while creating new revenue opportunities and delivering greater value to customers.”

The partnership has combined OneAssist’s AI-based device assessment technology with Ezeepay’s nationwide retailer network, allowing consumers to obtain screen protection for smartphones after purchase. The companies said the initiative has addressed the growing demand for affordable device protection as smartphone prices and repair costs continue to rise.

Under the partnership, retailers using the Ezeepay Retailer App have been able to offer OneAssist’s screen protection plans through a digital process. Customers are required to upload a short video of their smartphone, after which OneAssist’s AI engine assesses the device’s condition and determines eligibility within minutes. Approved customers receive benefits including accidental screen damage cover, doorstep pickup and delivery, and repairs through authorised service centres.

Abhishek Maheshwari, CEO of OneAssist, said: “Smartphones today represent one of the most valuable everyday investments for consumers, yet a large number of existing devices continue to remain unprotected. Through our partnership with Ezeepay, we are making it simple for consumers to protect the smartphones they already own through an AI-powered digital assessment and a trusted nationwide retail network.”

The collaboration has also created additional revenue opportunities for Ezeepay’s retail partners by enabling them to offer smartphone protection as a value-added digital service alongside existing financial products.

OneAssist said the partnership forms part of its strategy to expand protection services through FinTech, retail, e-commerce and enterprise partnerships, while increasing access to digital device protection across urban, semi-urban and rural India.
