Qliro has signed a strategic agreement with payments platform PPRO to become its exclusive Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) provider across the Nordic region, expanding access to flexible payment options for merchants serving consumers in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

Christoffer Rutgersson, CEO of Qliro, said: “This agreement gives Qliro a unique position as PPRO’s exclusive Nordic BNPL partner. It means we can reach global merchants selling to Nordic consumers and let those consumers pay the way they prefer, using Qliro’s BNPL. It is a strategic milestone and a new growth engine that strengthens our role in the European payments landscape.”

The partnership has enabled Qliro to offer its BNPL services through PPRO’s global network of payment service providers (PSPs) and merchants via a single integration. The collaboration has strengthened PPRO’s Buy Now Pay Local portfolio, giving international merchants easier access to a payment method widely used by Nordic consumers.

Motie Bring, CEO of PPRO, said: “Letting consumers pay the local way is at the heart of what we do, and a strong Nordic BNPL option is an important part of that. Adding Qliro to our Buy Now Pay Local portfolio allows us to offer merchants and PSPs a locally relevant solution that supports conversion and growth.”

PPRO said the partnership has expanded its local payments offering as BNPL adoption continues to grow across the Nordic region. Qliro, which has operated in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark for more than a decade, has provided merchants with access to a regional BNPL solution while helping consumers return directly to the merchant after completing a purchase.

The agreement has created a new distribution channel for Qliro, supporting its strategy to expand its merchant network and strengthen its presence across the European payments market.
