Banking Technology’s Defining Benchmark Returns | IBSi Sales League Table 2026

The IBSi Sales League Table 2026 captures global banking technology sales activity at a time when financial institutions are accelerating investments in intelligent, scalable, and regulation-ready platforms.

London, June 11, 2026 – IBS Intelligence (IBSi) announced the publication of the 26th Edition of the Annual IBSi Sales League Table (SLT) 2026, its flagship annual ranking of global banking technology sales performance. The SLT continues to serve as one of the industry’s most established reference points for understanding where banks and financial institutions are investing, which vendors are gaining traction, and how technology priorities are evolving across markets.

This year’s edition arrives at a time of significant change for the financial services industry. Banks are navigating a more complex operating environment shaped by regulatory change, geopolitical shifts, digital competition, and the growing institutional adoption of artificial intelligence. Against this backdrop, SLT 2026 provides a verified, data-led view of how financial institutions are investing resources to modernise their technology foundations across core banking, digital channels, payments, lending, risk, compliance, treasury, and wealth management.

The 2026 SLT recorded 1,347 qualifying deals from 60 participating technology vendors, following IBSi’s independent evaluation process. This included 989 global deals and 358 India domestic qualifications, reflecting continued technology momentum across both international and domestic banking markets. The results indicate that financial institutions are making more targeted technology decisions, with growing emphasis on platform resilience, integration readiness, AI-enabled capabilities, and regulatory adaptability.

Regional trends also point to a broadening technology investment landscape. The Middle East, Africa, and APAC continued to account for strong deal activity, supported by ongoing modernisation programmes and digital banking expansion. Europe saw sustained demand linked to regulatory and risk transformation, while North America reflected notable activity across credit unions and community-focused institutions.

“The 2026 SLT reflects a market where banking technology investment is becoming more strategic, more selective, and more closely linked to long-term transformation priorities,” said Nikhil Gokhale, Head of Research Platforms at IBS Intelligence. “Financial institutions are no longer looking at technology modernisation as a series of isolated upgrades. They are increasingly rethinking core infrastructure, digital engagement, payments, risk, and compliance through the lens of AI intelligence, scalability, and execution readiness. SLT 2026 brings this shift into focus through independently verified market data.”

As per IBSi’s methodology, the SLT excludes licence renewals, functional extensions, and geographic extensions. The rankings are based on new qualified sales across 19 defined system categories and are measured by deal volume rather than deal value. This approach provides a consistent view of vendor market penetration across institution types, regions, and solution categories.

The 2026 edition also includes dedicated Domestic Sales League Tables for India and the USA, recognising that these markets demonstrate distinct buying patterns and competitive dynamics. In addition, the IBSi LeaderBoard continues to track sustained vendor performance across categories over multiple years, offering a longer-term view of supplier consistency beyond a single annual cycle.

Alongside the main rankings, IBSi also recognises vendors through Industry Leader Special Awards and SLT New Entrant | Star Performance recognitions. These awards highlight suppliers demonstrating strong momentum in specialised areas, emerging categories, and high-relevance market segments.

As banking technology continues to evolve, the SLT remains a key reference for financial institutions, technology providers, consultants, investors, and industry analysts seeking to understand vendor performance and market adoption patterns. Its verified methodology and long-running historical base make it a valuable lens for tracking how banking technology priorities are shifting globally.
