Gold-i has integrated Derive.xyz into MatrixNET, enabling clients to access Derive’s options trading venue. The integration has made Derive’s liquidity available to Gold-i’s network of brokers, proprietary trading firms and fund managers through platforms including MT4, MT5, DXtrade and CLEO.

The integration has enabled institutional users to access onchain options liquidity through Gold-i’s multi-asset liquidity management and distribution platform. It has also strengthened Gold-i’s presence in decentralised finance (DeFi), following its recent integration with Hyperliquid, a decentralised exchange for perpetual futures and spot cryptocurrency trading.

Nick Forster, CEO of Derive.xyz, said, “Being the first options protocol integrated into MatrixNET is a meaningful milestone; it signals that institutional infrastructure is taking onchain derivatives seriously. More importantly, it opens a door that wasn’t there before. Institutional users of MatrixNET can now access Derive’s onchain options liquidity directly, without friction. TradFi and onchain are converging, and this integration is exactly the bridge we always knew was coming.”

The partnership has also created an opportunity for Gold-i to expand its reach to Derive’s client base, which includes treasuries and foundations. At the same time, Derive has gained access to a broader institutional audience through Gold-i’s established network of trading firms and liquidity users.

Tom Higgins, CEO of Gold-i, said, “Derive is a market leader in the rapidly growing niche area of onchain options, currently doing about 90% of onchain options volume. Integrating Derive into MatrixNET aligns perfectly with our strategy of connecting clients to the best liquidity venues across both TradFi and DeFi. Having had a fantastic response from clients since announcing our Hyperliquid integration, we believe this latest integration will further enhance our offering, enabling clients to access new opportunities through a seamless, institutional-grade environment.”

Gold-i’s MatrixNET has been positioned as an ultra-low-latency liquidity management and distribution platform for institutional clients worldwide. The platform has supported a range of routing and aggregation methods, enabling firms to tailor execution models to different client requirements while improving liquidity access, pricing and trading efficiency.
