The deployment marks one of the larger enterprise AI initiatives among Indian banks, with AU Small Finance Bank aiming to embed artificial intelligence across customer servicing, lending, operations and decision-making workflows. The bank, which operates more than 2,790 banking touchpoints across India, said the platform would support its transition toward a more scalable, technology-led banking model.
Sanjay Agarwal, Founder, MD & CEO, AU Small Finance Bank, said, “At AU, our vision is to become an AI-first bank by embedding intelligence into every layer of our business and operations. We were looking for a solution that goes beyond conventional AI and enables domain-led innovation at scale.”
Purple Fabric is positioned as an enterprise AI platform designed for financial institutions, allowing banks to deploy AI agents across business functions while integrating with existing technology systems. The platform also supports multiple large language models and can process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Ramanan SV, CEO-India & South Asia, Intellect Design Arena, said, “The real challenge in enterprise AI is not experimentation, but scaling it into everyday business operations with consistency and measurable business impact. Purple Fabric is designed to address this by providing a scalable foundation that brings together model flexibility, domain-driven intelligence, and enterprise-grade data orchestration. ”
As part of the rollout, AU Small Finance Bank will initially use PF Credit agents, AI-powered tools designed to automate and streamline credit assessments. The technology is intended to help the bank analyse customer data in real time, accelerate loan processing and improve consistency in lending decisions.
