Fenergo has launched a new Digital Subscriptions capability integrated into its Investor Portal, as the company looks to help buyside firms modernise investor onboarding and fund distribution workflows.

The new offering is designed to replace manual, paper-based subscription processes with digital workflows connected directly to client lifecycle management and compliance operations. The launch reflects wider efforts across the asset management industry to streamline onboarding, improve operational efficiency and reduce friction in investor servicing.

“Subscription processes have historically lagged behind the rest of the onboarding lifecycle,” said Neil D’Rosario, VP of Buyside Product at Fenergo. “With Digital Subscriptions and our Investor Portal, we’re closing that gap, bringing together KYC, onboarding and fund subscription into one seamless, digital experience that benefits both firms and their investors.”

While many financial institutions have digitised parts of know-your-customer and onboarding processes, subscription agreements for investment products have often remained disconnected from broader digital systems. Fenergo’s platform aims to consolidate onboarding, KYC and investor subscription activities into a single workflow and portal environment.

According to the company, the platform enables firms to capture structured investor data digitally and reuse it across multiple stages of the client lifecycle. This is expected to reduce duplication, minimise manual processing and improve data consistency across compliance and operational functions.

The company said the system also includes built-in validation controls, governance tools and audit trails to support regulatory requirements and operational oversight. In addition to efficiency gains, the platform is intended to improve the investor experience through more transparent and streamlined onboarding journeys.

Fenergo said the Digital Subscriptions capability is available as an extension to its wider client lifecycle management platform, allowing existing clients to add digital subscription functionality within their current compliance and onboarding frameworks.
