BENEFIT taps Payment International to launch QR POS solution

BENEFIT, a Bahrain-based FinTech platform, has partnered with Payment International Enterprise to launch a new point-of-sale (POS) device integrating QR-based payment capabilities.
The collaboration has aimed to expand digital payment options for merchants and improve the overall transaction experience for customers. A cooperation agreement has been signed by representatives of both companies, reflecting a shared focus on simplifying payment collection and enhancing usability at the point of sale.
Ahmed AlMahri, Assistant General Manager Business Development & Services at BENEFIT, stated, “We are keen to strengthen collaboration with payment solution providers to expand the reach and impact of our advanced FinTech services. This approach responds to the evolving needs of merchants and individuals, while supporting Bahrain’s position as a leading regional hub for technology and innovation within the digital financial services landscape.”
The newly introduced device has enabled merchants to accept QR payments directly, without requiring additional hardware or external systems. This has streamlined transaction processes, reduced operational complexity and supported faster checkouts in retail environments.
The move has aligned with the increasing adoption of QR-based payments across markets, particularly in regions where mobile-first payment methods have gained traction. By embedding QR functionality into a single device, the solution has reduced friction for merchants while maintaining compatibility with digital payment ecosystems.
The initiative has also supported broader efforts to provide secure and accessible payment solutions, as businesses continue to shift towards more flexible and integrated payment infrastructure.
