New Hampshire-based Granite State Credit Union (GSCU) has selected Lumin Digital to modernise its digital banking infrastructure, as part of an ongoing effort to enhance member experience and support long-term digital transformation.

Under the agreement, the credit union will deploy Lumin Digital’s cloud-native platform across its mobile, tablet, and desktop channels. The platform includes capabilities for both retail and commercial banking, as well as digital account opening. It also integrates tools spanning data and analytics, risk management, digital marketing, and user engagement, enabling a more unified and configurable digital ecosystem.

The move comes as mid-sized financial institutions increasingly look to replace legacy systems with modular, cloud-based solutions that can deliver greater agility and scalability. For GSCU, which serves more than 53,000 members and holds over $740 million in assets, the adoption of a cloud-native platform is expected to streamline service delivery while allowing the organisation to respond more effectively to evolving user expectations.

According to Lumin Digital, the platform will provide GSCU with “greater flexibility to align the experience with its brand and member expectations,” while also enabling the introduction of new features as member needs change over time. This reflects a broader industry shift towards configurable digital banking environments, where institutions can iterate quickly and personalise services without significant infrastructure overhauls.

The partnership also highlights growing competition among digital banking providers targeting the US credit union segment. Vendors are increasingly positioning end-to-end platforms that combine core digital functionality with embedded analytics and engagement tools, aiming to help smaller institutions compete with larger banks and FinTech challengers.

For Lumin Digital, the agreement further expands its footprint in the credit union market, following recent partnerships with Commonwealth Credit Union, Ent Credit Union, and Sierra Central Credit Union. These deals indicate sustained demand for cloud-native digital banking platforms among regional and community-focused financial institutions.

Established in 1945 as Utility Workers Credit Union, GSCU operates eight branches across New Hampshire. The organisation offers a range of financial products, including savings and checking accounts, lending services, and business banking, and is now positioning its digital channels as a central component of future growth and member engagement.
