Clear Mountain Bank has deployed the digital banking platform of Alkami Technology while expanding its partnership to include data and marketing capabilities, reflecting how community banks are investing in integrated digital infrastructure to remain competitive with larger institutions.

The rollout of the Alkami Digital Banking Platform across retail and business segments marks a step toward modernising the bank’s customer interface and service delivery. The platform introduces enhanced functionality, including Positive Pay and ACH reporting, aimed at improving fraud prevention, transaction visibility, and operational efficiency for business clients.

The move comes as smaller financial institutions face increasing pressure to match the digital capabilities of national and digital-first banks, while preserving relationship-based banking models. By adopting a scalable, cloud-based platform, Clear Mountain Bank is seeking to balance these priorities—offering more sophisticated digital tools without diluting its community-focused service approach.

David M. Thomas, president and chief executive officer at Clear Mountain Bank, said the initiative is intended to align digital capabilities with customer expectations while maintaining personalised engagement. “Launching Alkami’s Digital Banking Platform allows us to deliver a modern, user-friendly experience to both our retail and business customers, while continuing to strengthen the relationships at the heart of our community,” he said.

Beyond the platform deployment, the bank is preparing to implement Alkami’s Data & Marketing Solution, signalling a shift toward data-driven engagement strategies. The solution is designed to enable financial institutions to leverage transaction data to identify customer needs, improve cross-selling, and deliver more personalised product recommendations.

Tim Boyles, chief experience officer at Clear Mountain Bank, highlighted the role of data in shaping future customer interactions. “The Data & Marketing Solution will help us identify needs sooner and connect customers with the right products, without losing the personal touch that sets us apart,” he said.

For Alkami, the expanded engagement underscores growing demand among community banks for unified platforms that combine digital banking, analytics, and marketing capabilities. As institutions look to deepen customer relationships and drive growth, the integration of data intelligence into digital banking ecosystems is becoming a strategic priority.

The partnership illustrates a broader industry trend in which regional and community banks are adopting platform-based models to enhance customer experience, strengthen fraud controls, and unlock new revenue opportunities through more targeted and timely engagement.
