Sage Capital Management has launched a private banking service for institutional clients, marking a strategic shift from its origins as a crypto prime broker to what it describes as a fully integrated operating system for digital assets.

The new offering is designed to enable crypto-focused hedge funds, asset managers, trading firms, brokers and corporate treasuries to manage fiat and digital asset activities within a single operating environment. Alongside the banking service, the firm introduced a proprietary trading platform that integrates liquidity access, execution, risk management and transaction cost analysis (TCA).

The move reflects a broader industry trend toward consolidation of fragmented digital asset infrastructure. Institutional participants in crypto markets often rely on multiple exchanges, custodians, payment providers and credit lines, increasing operational complexity and counterparty risk. By combining banking, markets access, capital and trading technology under one framework, Sage Capital Management aims to streamline these workflows.

“At the core, we are addressing fragmentation and operational friction,” said Nathan Sage, CEO of Sage Capital Management. “We have created a single environment, with unified onboarding, which connects every part of the financial workflow for institutional digital asset clients, reducing operational risk, speeding up the movement of funds, minimising counterparty exposure, and enhancing capital efficiency.”

The new private banking service provides named, multi-currency accounts under a client’s legal entity, with access to UK Faster Payments, SEPA, SWIFT and more than 140 global currencies. Integrated with Tier 1 bank payment rails, the accounts allow clients to move funds between fiat and digital asset markets and manage payments and foreign exchange. Corporate Mastercard debit cards, both physical and virtual, are also available.

A distinguishing feature of the service is the assignment of an “Embedded COO™” to each client a senior operator intended to act as an extension of the client’s operational team.

In parallel, Sage Capital Management is expanding its market infrastructure. Its market access service offers spot, derivatives and OTC liquidity through a single regulated counterparty, with real-time settlement and unified risk management across more than 40 venues. This is intended to reduce the need for clients to maintain multiple exchange relationships.

The firm’s Capital Engine provides portfolio margining, institutional credit and structured financing. Collateral can be deployed once and used across the network, supported by a multi-provider credit architecture designed to optimise capital efficiency.

All services are connected through the newly launched Sage Platform, which aggregates order books across venues and supports multi-product trading with algorithmic execution and customisable institutional workspaces.

Sage Capital Management operates under a multi-jurisdictional framework across the UK, EU and other recognised authorities, with banking, payments, custody and credit services delivered through regulated entities and partners.
