CapRelease has raised  $36.0 million in a combined debt and equity round as it looks to expand its footprint in the UK and lay the groundwork for international growth, including a planned entry into the US in 2026.

The London-based company, which positions itself as a logistics-embedded finance platform, secured a $33.3 million senior debt facility from global private credit firm Partners for Growth (PFG), alongside $2.7 million in equity led by a FinTech-focused global family office. A second close of the equity round is expected in the first quarter of 2026. The raise follows a GBP 1.7 million pre-seed round earlier this year, one of the larger early-stage LendTech financings in Europe over the past two years.

CapRelease plans to use the new capital to scale across the UK, deepen integrations with logistics providers and retail technology platforms, and further develop its underwriting and risk infrastructure. The company aims to address persistent working capital constraints faced by eCommerce SMEs, many of which struggle to access growth finance due to traditional credit models, slow underwriting processes, and stringent collateral or personal guarantee requirements.

The funding comes against the backdrop of a rapidly expanding eCommerce market. The UK eCommerce sector was valued at approximately GBP 180 billion in 2025, according to Mordor Intelligence, yet access to flexible working capital remains limited for many retailers. CapRelease’s model links financing to verified operational and logistics data, seeking to align capital deployment more closely with real-time business performance as online sales continue to grow at an estimated 22% CAGR over the medium term.

“This raise represents a significant step-change for CapRelease, the logistics ecosystem and for funding eCommerce retailers,” said Jack Williams, Founder and CEO of CapRelease. “By combining multi-source AI/ML data intelligence with a modern infrastructure approach to risk, we are helping retailers unlock capital with more confidence and less friction.”

David Nangle, Founder and CFO, added: “Partnering with a specialised global credit fund like PFG is a major milestone for CapRelease. This provides us with our first senior institutional debt facility and the firepower to accelerate our growth and, more importantly, get quicker, more fit-for-purpose capital into the hands of SMEs to support their growth.”
