Solana wallet provider Solflare has launched an alpha version of an in-wallet AI assistant, marking a move toward intent-based, conversational interfaces in crypto wallet design. The announcement was made at Solana Breakpoint 2025, with early access rolling out to a limited group of users via invitations and a waitlist.

The AI assistant is integrated into Solflare’s web extension and mobile applications, where it introduces natural-language interaction for on-chain activity. Through a chat-based interface, users can execute transactions, automate trades based on price or time conditions, set token alerts, and review social sentiment using real-time market data and signals from platforms such as X and Telegram. A separate dashboard allows users to monitor, modify, or cancel automations.

The development reflects a broader industry effort to reduce friction in crypto user experience, particularly as on-chain activity becomes more complex and time-sensitive. Wallets are increasingly being positioned not only as custody tools, but as decision-making and execution layers that aggregate data, automation, and execution within a single interface.

According to Solflare, the AI assistant is designed to translate high-level user intent into on-chain actions using a solver-driven architecture that coordinates execution across Solana protocols. Despite the automation, Solflare stated that all AI-initiated actions remain user-controlled, requiring manual review and confirmation before transactions are finalised.

“Crypto markets move quickly, but most people can’t monitor price movements, social sentiment, and portfolio changes all day,” said Vidor Gencel, co-founder and co-CEO of Solflare. “Traditional interfaces add too much friction, turning the gap between intent and execution into a costly delay. Using natural language, Solflare’s AI assistant bridges that gap instantly.”

The launch comes amid growing experimentation with AI-driven tooling across crypto trading, portfolio management, and DeFi, as platforms look to abstract protocol complexity for both retail and advanced users. Solflare said it plans to expand access to the AI assistant gradually during the alpha phase, with additional users able to apply through the waitlist as the product matures.
