RedCompass Labs has won the Best-in-Class Use of Agentic AI category at the IBS Intelligence Global FinTech Innovation Awards (GFIA) 2025, recognising its AI-driven payments modernisation platform, AnalystAccelerator. The accolade highlights growing industry demand for specialised AI tools as banks grapple with ISO 20022 migration, instant payments, escalating regulatory requirements and persistent skills shortages.

Launched in late 2024 and upgraded in April 2025, AnalystAccelerator is positioned as the first AI system purpose-built for payments modernisation. The v2.5 model is trained on what the firm describes as the largest corpus of global payments rulebooks and scheme documents, and benchmarked to deliver 16% higher accuracy than GPT-4o on complex payments tasks. RedCompass Labs reports that the model achieves a perplexity score ten times lower than comparable open-source models.

Banks have increasingly cited documentation bottlenecks, costly delays and the scarcity of specialised analysts as key barriers to modernisation programmes. AnalystAccelerator aims to automate time-intensive elements of these initiatives, including drafting and reviewing requirements, producing test scenarios and generating regulatory artefacts. Its agentic architecture is designed to maintain contextual continuity across tasks while keeping human users in control of decision-making.

RedCompass Labs said the technology has already demonstrated significant efficiency gains. In one deployment, a tier-one European bank generated 47 business-level requirements for a Verification of Payee project in 45 minutes work the firm says would normally take an experienced analyst up to two weeks. According to RedCompass Labs, the outputs required no revisions.

The 2025 GFIA awards attracted more than 600 submissions from over 50 countries, with winners selected by an independent judging panel. The ceremony took place in Mumbai, India.

The company is currently running a proof-of-concept with a tier-one North American bank and is in advanced discussions with major global system integrators, consulting firms and international banks exploring the use of AnalystAccelerator in large-scale transformation programmes.

“We are honoured to receive this award from IBS Intelligence, especially in such a competitive year,” said Jan Metcalf, SVP of Marketing at RedCompass Labs. “Payments modernisation is only becoming more complex, and banks need accuracy, not approximation. AnalystAccelerator is designed specifically for that reality, combining the world’s largest payments knowledge base with advanced agentic AI to deliver transformation faster, safer and at a fraction of the cost.”
