Bitget Wallet launches Zero-Fee stablecoin debit card globally
By Vriti Gothi

Bitget Wallet has rolled out its zero-fee crypto debit card to users in more than 50 markets. The expansion spans Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, providing access to Visa and Mastercard acceptance globally and broadening options for everyday payments using stablecoins.
The product introduces a fee-free spending model covering foreign exchange markups, top-up fees, and conversion spreads costs that typically range between 1.5% and 7% for comparable crypto payment cards. Users can spend up to $400 per month without charges, with Bitget Wallet’s system automatically detecting and refunding associated markups. The feature is intended to bring stablecoin transactions closer to the predictability associated with conventional digital payments.
“Our goal with this card is to make stablecoin payments truly frictionless,” said Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet. “By removing fees and hidden markups globally, we’re bringing stablecoins closer to the experience people expect from everyday digital money , fast, predictable, and usable anywhere.”
The launch comes as stablecoin adoption continues to rise across consumer and commercial use cases. Monthly settlement volumes exceeded $1.2 trillion in Q3 2025, according to IMF data, with more than 70% of usage concentrated in emerging markets where FX fees and banking friction remain high. Bitget Wallet’s own data indicates that 40% of global wallet users now use crypto for payments, reflecting increased demand for self-custodial solutions and transparent pricing models.
The card forms part of a broader payments suite that also includes QR payments, bank transfers, in-app shopping and on-chain stablecoin transfers, aiming to support cross-border purchases, travel and micro-spending. Bitget Wallet is positioning the product as a step toward a unified global payment layer built on stablecoins.
The release also introduces a customizable card program enabling creators, communities and brands to issue personalised designs. Users can generate virtual cards instantly, while ecosystem partners can co-launch themed cards tied to communities or memberships. A co-branded card with LINE NEXT is currently under development, highlighting growing interest in branded payment tools across Asia’s Web3 ecosystem.
