British Arab Commercial Bank (BACB) has partnered with Volante Technologies to modernise and unify its payments infrastructure. The collaboration facilitates BACB’s digital transformation journey, replacing legacy systems with a next-generation, cloud-native solution that enhances speed, efficiency, and scalability across all payment operations.

Under this partnership, BACB will deploy Volante’s PaaS solution to automate and streamline its SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 payments, internal transfers, and domestic clearing across multiple schemes, including CHAPS, Faster Payments, and BACS. The integration will enable BACB to consolidate its payment processing within a single, unified platform, improving straight-through processing rates while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational resilience.

Headquartered in London, BACB is an international wholesale bank with more than five decades of experience in facilitating trade finance and treasury solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. As part of its ongoing modernisation strategy, the bank sought a trusted technology partner with both deep technical expertise and shared values rooted in customer service excellence and relationship-driven banking.

Volante’s cloud-native platform met these requirements, offering a proven foundation for innovation and growth. Its PaaS capabilities allow for rapid deployment, seamless integration with existing systems, and adaptability to evolving market and regulatory demands. The solution is designed to support BACB’s mission to enhance customer experience and strengthen cross-border trade flows through reliable, modern financial infrastructure.

“Volante was the stand-out choice for a number of reasons,” said Ross McNay, Chief Operating Officer at BACB. “Volante has the technology to strengthen our payments infrastructure and drive our mission to help clients and communities prosper. But shared values are also very important: we’re differentiated by our bespoke service and commitment to long-term relationships with our clients, so it was crucial we had a partner that could understand and support this approach.”

Vijay Oddiraju, Co-founder and CEO at Volante Technologies, added, “We’re proud to partner with BACB on their payments modernisation journey. PaaS is designed to meet the needs of forward-looking institutions like BACB, delivering automation, scalability, and seamless integration with both internal systems and external market infrastructures.”
