Tide has integrated National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) functionality into its RuPay-powered Expense Card, enabling small businesses and freelancers to tap, travel, and transact with a single, unified solution. This milestone brings together travel payments and business expense management on one platform, reinforcing Tide’s commitment to simplifying business finance for India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The NCMC-enabled Expense Card allows Tide members to pay for metro rides, bus fares, tolls, and parking across major Indian cities, while simultaneously managing invoices, reimbursements, and expenses seamlessly within the Tide app. Supported by the Government of India, the NCMC integration offers real-time top-ups, instant balance checks, and faster, queue-free access at transit gates, eliminating the need for multiple travel cards or separate payment apps.

Designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business teams constantly on the move, this integration combines the interoperable travel payment capabilities of NCMC with Tide’s robust business expense management tools. By consolidating travel and business spending in a single secure platform, users can efficiently track, categorise, and reconcile expenses, complementing Tide’s broader suite of financial management solutions.

“Our goal has always been to make business spending simple,” said Kumar Shekhar, Deputy Country Manager, Tide India. “With the integration of NCMC support, we’re taking a significant step toward enabling seamless travel and expense management. Our members can now use one solution to access transit, tolls, and public transport, while ensuring their business spending is captured and reconciled in real time. This is not just an upgrade it’s a game-changing approach to how business owners travel, manage expenses, and optimise cash flow across India’s diverse mobility landscape.”

The launch of NCMC support aligns with Tide’s ongoing strategy to expand its integrated business management offerings. Alongside payments and expense tracking, Tide’s platform enables SMEs to manage invoicing, Udyam and GST registration, government scheme discovery, bill payments, and fixed deposits all from a single digital-first interface.
