Charity Bank has partnered with Sandstone Technology to develop its new mobile savings application. This initiative represents a key milestone in Charity Bank’s digital transformation strategy, designed to enhance customer experience and broaden access to ethical banking services.

Since its inception in 2002, Charity Bank has lent over $801 million to charities and social enterprises, supporting communities across the UK. The launch of a dedicated mobile platform has underscored the Bank’s commitment to modern, customer-centric solutions that combine convenience with responsible banking practices.

Sandstone Technology, a trusted partner of Charity Bank for over a decade, brings its secure, scalable, and intuitive mobile banking platform to the collaboration. Together, the organisations aim to deliver an app that provides customers with 24/7 access to their savings, while aligning with the Bank’s vision of sustainable and greener banking solutions.

Justin Hort, Director of Operations and Savings at Charity Bank, commented, “We are thrilled to take this next step with Sandstone Technology. Launching a mobile app is a major milestone that reflects our commitment to evolving with our savers’ needs. We’re focused on delivering a seamless, modern, and intuitive experience – and with Sandstone’s proven track record, we knew they were the right partner to bring this vision to life.”

Jennifer Harris, Chief Customer Officer at Sandstone Technology, added, “Partnering with Charity Bank on this initiative is both exciting and rewarding. Mobile is now the channel of choice across all demographics, and this solution reflects the importance of delivering banking experiences that are intuitive, flexible, and future-ready. Our collaboration is built on trust and innovation, and this project showcases our shared vision for the next generation of digital banking.”

The forthcoming app will offer a robust suite of features, including advanced self-service capabilities, high-level security, and a streamlined, user-friendly interface. It will facilitate rapid product updates and launches, ensuring that Charity Bank customers enjoy a consistent and innovative banking experience.

Scheduled for release in spring 2026, the mobile app exemplifies Charity Bank’s commitment to forward-thinking, technology-enabled banking that listens to customer feedback and adapts to evolving needs. This initiative positions the Bank at the forefront of ethical digital banking, reinforcing its mission to empower savers while supporting social impact across the UK.
