Finastra, has launched its modern ACH payment solution, representing a significant milestone in the evolution of US payment infrastructure. This launch positions Finastra as a leading provider capable of supporting all US payment clearings, including ACH, wires, and real-time payments through a single, unified Payment Hub, Global PAYplus.

The new ACH module leverages a modern technology stack, combining cloud-native microservices with Kafka-based event streaming to deliver scalable, high-performance processing. Designed to streamline ACH operations, reduce operational complexity, and ensure regulatory compliance, the platform supports same-day ACH, early pay, late return handling, and rich APIs for seamless integration and operational control. Its intuitive interface and robust scalability make it suitable for both large and smaller financial institutions, ensuring adaptability to evolving customer and business requirements.

“This launch represents a major leap forward in payment modernisation,” said Barry Rodrigues, EVP, Payments at Finastra. “Our ACH solution combines cutting-edge architecture with real-time capabilities, enabling financial institutions to scale efficiently and deliver modern, resilient, secure ACH processing to their customers. ACH has been trusted by US banks for a long time and will continue to be a critical component of the payments infrastructure going forward. As banks look for more modern, forward-compatible alternatives to legacy ACH infrastructure, our solution helps them deliver value and innovation to their corporate customers.”

The solution features cloud-native microservices and Kafka-based event streaming to ensure resilient, scalable processing. It offers advanced risk and compliance controls, including exposure management, validation, monitoring, Positive Pay, pre-funding, and integration with fraud and OFAC systems. Optimised for high-volume ACH operations, it reliably processes large transaction volumes across multiple batches and files, enhancing operational efficiency. By providing real-time insights and streamlined operations, it empowers financial institutions to deliver transparent, reliable, and customer-centric payment services.

“Forward-looking financial institutions of all sizes are seeking modern ACH alternatives, ideally integrated into unified payment hubs, to optimise operations while meeting the advanced services their customers expect,” said Aaron Press, Research Director at IDC Insights. “By adopting this type of solution, decision-makers can streamline processes, reduce costs, and elevate the customer experience.”

ACH processing will also be incorporated into Finastra’s Payments To Go solution, set to go live in the coming months. For further insights on payment modernisation, visit Finastra at stand H036 at Sibos 2025.
