HSBC Egypt launches real-time Treasury API for businesses
By Vriti Gothi

HSBC Bank Egypt has launched its Treasury API solution, a significant step forward in the digital transformation of corporate treasury services in the Egyptian market. The new platform enables businesses to connect seamlessly with HSBC’s treasury and payment infrastructure, delivering real-time access to the bank’s award-winning cash management solutions.
Through this integration, clients can automate critical treasury functions including balance inquiries, transaction reporting, payment initiation and reconciliation — directly within their existing enterprise systems. This real-time connectivity empowers businesses with enhanced visibility and control over their liquidity, supporting faster and more informed decision-making.
Todd Wilcox, Deputy Chairperson and CEO of HSBC Bank Egypt, said, “This marks a key milestone in advancing our digitisation agenda in Egypt, in line with HSBC’s global commitment to delivering innovative digital solutions that support our clients’ resilience and competitiveness. By giving businesses real-time visibility and control over their cash, HSBC Treasury APIs help clients make faster, smarter financial decisions and unlock new possibilities for growth.”
Built with security and efficiency at its core, HSBC’s Treasury APIs are designed to strengthen corporate governance, mitigate fraud risk, and enable organisations to adapt to the fast-changing financial landscape. The solution reflects HSBC’s strategy of combining global expertise with local market innovation to deliver future-ready financial infrastructure.
Kyle Boag, HSBC’s Regional Head of Global Payments Solutions for the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye, said, “Access to real-time payment and account services is no longer a trend; it is revolutionising the way businesses operate and is now critical to customer experience. Our API solution is tailored to the evolving needs of organisations and integration systems, delivering a more responsive and efficient treasury experience.”
With this launch, HSBC Egypt reinforces its position as a digital banking leader in the region, providing customers with the tools to optimise liquidity, improve operational efficiency, and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global economy.
