IDnow, a provider of identity verification services, has partnered with Keyless to enhance digital identity security and meet rising demand for secure, user-friendly fraud prevention.

The partnership brings together IDnow’s comprehensive identity verification and digital signature technology with Keyless’ biometric multi-factor authentication capabilities. The combined solution introduces the principle of ‘Continuous Trust’, enabling organisations to securely enrol users through IDnow’s platform and authenticate them later using Keyless’ biometrics whenever sensitive actions are performed.

For example, if a customer needs to change personal details or recover an account, the biometric data captured by Keyless is matched against the original biometric record verified by IDnow at onboarding. This continuous matching process helps organisations mitigate fraud risks without compromising user experience.

As digital interactions grow more vulnerable to advanced threats such as deepfakes and AI-enabled fraud, the collaboration aims to address increasing regulatory scrutiny and demand for secure, privacy-conscious identity management. Unlike many traditional biometric systems, Keyless’ technology ensures that raw biometric data is never stored. Instead, it uses a cryptographic process to transform data into a non-personally identifiable format, aligning with stringent European data privacy standards.

Keyless’ authentication checks the user’s face and device in less than 300 milliseconds, delivering multi-factor authentication with minimal disruption. One benefit of the partnership is that customers no longer need to enrol twice with each provider; instead, the Keyless enrolment occurs silently during IDnow’s initial verification process.

The integrated solution is expected to benefit sectors where trust, compliance and data security are critical, including banking, FinTech and healthcare. By merging their technologies, IDnow and Keyless aim to deliver a scalable, intelligent trust framework that not only meets current regulatory requirements but is designed to adapt to new threats and standards.

The partnership reflects a broader push across the financial services industry to strengthen fraud prevention and build customer confidence through digital transformation and user-centric security measures. Both companies have indicated plans to expand their collaboration to support emerging use cases and markets in the future.

Andreas Bodczek, CEO of IDnow, said, “Our Trust is no longer a one-time checkpoint but a continuous process. Partnership with Keyless enhances our ability to fight emerging fraud typologies amid a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring that digital identities remain secure and trustworthy throughout their lifecycle.”

Fabian Eberle, COO and Co-founder of Keyless, said, “One of the biggest questions we get is whether users need to enrol twice with the IDV and with Keyless. Until recently, the answer was yes. But what’s pivotal about the partnership with IDnow is that we can silently enrol users into Keyless during the IDnow verification flow. It’s a game changer for reducing friction.”
