DenizBank AG partners with Konsentus to strengthen open banking operations
By Gloria Methri
DenizBank AG, a universal bank serving customers in Austria and Germany, has chosen Konsentus to support its open banking services. The move will help the bank meet regulatory requirements, improve security, and ensure long-term operational efficiency.
As part of its expansion strategy, DenizBank AG needed a secure and scalable open banking solution. By adopting Konsentus Verify, the bank can automate the validation of Third-Party Providers (TPPs)—a key step in protecting customer accounts and ensuring only authorised access.
“Konsentus Verify stood out as a solution that not only delivered on compliance and risk mitigation but also aligned closely with our internal operations,” said Darijo Batinic, CRO of DenizBank AG. “As a deep-rooted player in the Austrian and German markets, we needed a solution that was quick to implement, cost-effective and capable of adapting to regulatory developments like PSD3 and FiDA. Konsentus’ customer-centric approach and outstanding support made the decision easy.”
Konsentus Verify provides real-time, standardised data on regulated entities across the European Economic Area (EEA). This reduces the risk of unauthorised access and removes the need for banks to rely on inconsistent or outdated data sources.
“DenizBank AG is committed to providing innovative and secure digital banking services, and we are proud to support them in delivering compliant open banking experiences,” said Brendan Jones, CCO, Konsentus. “Our platform is designed to scale with our clients’ needs – helping them meet regulatory obligations today while staying ahead of tomorrow’s challenges.”
The partnership supports DenizBank AG’s goal of building a secure and future-ready digital banking environment. With a trusted infrastructure in place, the bank can reduce operational costs and focus on growth and customer experience.
