NTT DATA launches ADAPTIS to power digital payments in Southeast Asia

NTT DATA Payment Services has announced the launch of ADAPTIS, a comprehensive suite of integrated payment solutions designed to support the evolving digital needs of companies across Southeast Asia. Unveiled at an exclusive launch event, the new offering marks a key step in the company’s regional transformation following its acquisition of GHL Systems Berhad by NTT DATA Japan in early 2024.
The introduction of ADAPTIS is positioned as a strategic milestone in NTT DATA Payment Services’ growth trajectory, aligning innovation with regional expertise to power modern commerce. The suite comprises five core offerings, each tailored to meet diverse business requirements in an increasingly digital economy:
- ADAPTIS In-Store – Facilitates seamless retail point-of-sale transactions
- ADAPTIS eCommerce – Enables secure and efficient online payment processing
- ADAPTIS Financing – Provides financial solutions to support business expansion
- ADAPTIS Enterprise – Offers a scalable payment infrastructure for large organisations
- ADAPTIS VAS (Value-Added Services) – Enhances operational efficiency through additional services
The launch follows the company’s formal rebranding to NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn. Bhd. on 13 November 2024, aligning with its parent company, NTT DATA, one of the world’s top ten global IT service providers. The rebranding signifies a unified vision and commitment to high service standards while embracing technological innovation.
Following its debut in Malaysia, the ADAPTIS suite is expected to be rolled out in Thailand and the Philippines later in 2025. This phased expansion reflects NTT DATA Payment Services’ broader ambition to offer regionally customised, end-to-end digital payment infrastructure for businesses of all sizes across Southeast Asia.
The company’s integrated approach to payments and financing also signals its intention to support digital-first enterprises, especially SMEs and large-scale merchants seeking to scale operations across borders with greater flexibility and resilience.
The development and launch of ADAPTIS are part of a larger strategic shift following NTT DATA Japan’s complete acquisition of GHL Systems Berhad in 2024.
