Camping World and BitPay partner to accept Bitcoin payments

Camping World Holdings, America’s Recreation Dealer has announced partnering with Blockchain payment technology provider BitPay, to begin accepting cryptocurrencies as payment for RV purchases.

Through BitPay,Camping World will accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and select other cryptocurrencies through a variety of digital wallets. The alliance will allow Camping World to maximize convenience for the customer and attract new consumers without holding the currency on its balance sheet. The initiative is part of the company’s renewed focus on accelerating innovation in the RV marketplace.

Camping World will initially launch the service in selected locations including Chicago, IL and Kenosha, WI locations. The company has plans to expand to all locations that sell RVs and to its e-commerce platforms. The collaboration with BitPay comes on the heels of the Company’s recent announcement that it is developing a platform for a paperless, online RV purchase experience.
