Axis Bank has partnered with IndiGo to introduce a new range of co-branded credit cards aimed at expanding travel-linked rewards and strengthening customer engagement through loyalty-led spending.

The launch includes two variants, the IndiGo Axis Bank Credit Card and the IndiGo Axis Bank Premium Credit Card, designed to cater to different customer segments. The cards are integrated with IndiGo’s BluChip loyalty program, enabling users to earn rewards on everyday transactions, with accelerated accrual on bookings made through IndiGo channels.

The standard card, priced at ₹799 plus GST, targets the mass retail segment and offers enhanced reward rates on categories such as grocery and dining, along with domestic airport lounge access and accelerated earnings on UPI transactions. The premium variant, priced at ₹5,000 plus GST, is positioned for affluent and frequent travelers, offering higher reward rates on airline spends, complimentary domestic and international lounge access, and a reduced foreign exchange markup of 2.5%.

Both cards provide welcome and renewal benefits, milestone-based rewards, and lifestyle privileges, including dining, entertainment, and travel-related offers. The products will be available on both the RuPay and Visa networks.

Arnika Dixit, President & Head of Cards, Payments, and Wealth Management, Axis Bank, said, “We are delighted to announce our strategic partnership with IndiGo, bringing together the best of banking and travel to elevate our customers’ experiences. With the launch of our co-branded credit cards, we aim to offer unmatched value to both the casual travelers and frequent flyers. These cards are designed to deliver exclusive travel benefits, accelerated reward earnings, and seamless access to privileges that make every journey more rewarding. This collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation and customer-centricity, and we look forward to empowering our cardholders with more freedom, flexibility, and convenience across segments in the skies and beyond.”

Commenting on the launch, Sohini Rajola, Executive Director at the National Payments Corporation of India, noted that the RuPay-linked offering supports the expansion of secure and scalable digital payment options. Rishi Chhabra, Country Manager for India at Visa, added that experience-led payment products are increasingly aligned with evolving consumer expectations.

The launch reflects a broader trend in India’s credit card market, where banks are deepening partnerships with airlines and lifestyle brands to drive transaction volumes and customer retention through co-branded offerings. Travel-focused cards remain a key growth segment as issuers target higher-spending customers and seek to build long-term engagement through integrated loyalty ecosystems.
