Orion Innovation has partnered with BNI Madagascar to launch a fully customised digital banking platform, marking a significant step forward in the bank’s ongoing digital transformation.

The project, delivered in partnership with Temenos, reflects BNI Madagascar’s strategy to advance customer-centric banking and expand digital access across the country.

Developed on the Temenos Digital platform, the new solution was tailored to align with BNI Madagascar’s ambition to move beyond a standard out-of-the-box implementation. The bank’s vision centred on building a bespoke mobile application with an entirely new design, aimed at delivering a more seamless, intuitive experience for customers. Orion supported the bank from concept to execution, adapting the Temenos platform to match BNI’s specific requirements and design language.

The result is a modern, flexible digital banking system that has already seen strong adoption and positive feedback from customers. Users have highlighted the app’s ease of use and clean design, with early data indicating improved engagement and wider access to mobile banking services.

Suchen Janjale, Head of Temenos Practice at Orion Innovation, said, “This collaboration shows what is possible when you combine a bank’s ambition with deep platform expertise. Together, we delivered a solution that reflects BNI Madagascar’s unique priorities and design principles.”

Santhosh Rao, Managing Director for MEA at Temenos, added that the milestone underscores the growing role of advanced digital banking technology across Africa. “A successful go-live like this demonstrates how banks in the region can use Temenos technology to expand digital services and deliver faster, smarter banking experiences.”

Following the implementation, BNI Madagascar plans to build on the new platform’s capabilities to introduce additional features and services, supporting its aim to drive further innovation and expand access to modern banking in Madagascar.
