Wirecard has announced an expansion of its partnership with the telecommunications provider O2 Czech Republic in a bid to provide their enhanced mPOS(mobile Point-of-sale) project to a wider group of merchants across Europe. The two companies are expanding their scopes to Slovakia, aiming to assist retailers to comply with upcoming changes in the fiscal laws.

The solution, provided by Wirecard, includes acquiring, payment processing and compliance checks with O2 assisting in the merchant onboarding. The joint solution comprises of an online, tablet-based till system, an mPOS terminal and has been integrated with Wirecard’s digital financial commerce platform. This integration further enables secure acceptance and processing of digital payments and online transactions and simultaneous compliance of fiscal laws.
