Alongside the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters, Switzerland’s federal body for financial market policy and the representative of the government’s financial interests, the group will study the possible framework for the development of blockchain ecosystems, companies and ICOs.

Schneider-Ammann commented on the increasing importance of blockchain technology in many industries, and pointed out how the new liberal regulation would need to secure Switzerland’s position while reducing risks.
