Wirecard joins forces with Visa in the Middle East region

WirecardGerman company Wirecard announced today the signing of an agreement to be the preferred payment processor for Visa, with the objective to bolster the Visa Fintech Fast Track Program in the Middle East region. Through VisaNet, the program empowers partners to develop new commerce experiences leveraging the global payment network’s reach, capabilities, and security.

“We are excited to be a part of the Visa Fintech Fast Track Program and together, we can continue delivering financial technology innovations to the key Middle East market,” stated Humza Chishti, Regional Manager for Wirecard in the Middle East.

The collaboration entails the provision of Wirecard’s financial technology and payment solutions as well as its in-depth market expertise aimed at accelerating growth and innovation within the payment and FinTech community in the Middle East. Both parties will additionally cooperate to develop programs for their respective businesses.

Wirecard can now access Visa’s network that is part of the Visa Fintech Fast Track Program and provide guidance to FinTechs on efficient ways of conducting their businesses.
