Wirecard enters into a payment partnership with UZE Mobility

WirecardMunich-based Wirecard, a digital financial technology company, and Aachen-based UZE Mobility, a platform for e-mobility services, have partnered to combine their payment and geolocation technology. UZE Mobility offers an electric vehicle fleet with digital advertising displays managed via its platform. According to the strategic partnership, Wirecard is the preferred payment partner for the UZE Mobility marketplace.

Alexander Jablovski, CEO and Co-Founder, UZE Mobility said, “In Wirecard, we have found the technology partner with whom we are leveraging the enormous potential of mobility data that is still largely untapped today in order to open up new markets. I am very glad to partner with one of the most innovative companies in its field.”

Earlier in January, Wirecard and China’s EasyTransfer announced their collaboration to enable seamless mobile payments for digital-native Chinese students. The two companies are launching a new mobile payment and loyalty app designed for these students studying outside the country. Wirecard has customised its intelligent mobile payment platform for EasyTransfer which will offer these students flexible and familiar payment processes as well as a wealth of loyalty features and ancillary services.

Stephan Ritzenhoff, Principal Manager Strategic Alliances, Wirecard stated, “In 2020, we expect the Commerce on the Move trend to gain momentum and bring even more innovative, ground-breaking ideas to the mobility market.” He further mentioned, “For this reason, we are proud to cooperate with UZE Mobility, true innovators in the field of e-mobility. We look forward to working with UZE Mobility and making the future of mobility happen today.”
