Wirecard collaborates with Mizuho for global expansion

Wirecard has entered into a partnership with Japan-based Mizuho Bank, in a bid to expand their geographic limits, launch new payout products as well as joint digital payment solutions. The supplier states that the collaboration is expected to complement Mizuho’s service offering with the launch of a corporate payout solution.

“We are constantly striving to offer the most innovative financial solutions to our corporate clients, and for this reason, we have chosen to expand our partnership with Wirecard,” commented Kaoru Mochizuki, Head of Transaction Banking Asia Oceania, Mizuho Bank. “With Wirecard, we will develop our corporate product offering and further digitalize our services on an international scale. We are excited to continue working together with Wirecard and develop our partnership.”

The partnership will also see the supplier strengthening Mizuho’s solutions that are aimed at the banking clients in the food, beverage and retail industry. Wirecard has been partnering with Mizuho since 2018 for acquiring and issuance services.

Recently, Wirecard has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with device lifecycle management provider Brightstar in a bid to partner and create solutions in areas such as digital consumer lending, payment acceptance processing, and card issuing.
