VTB announces technology partnership with Skolkovo Foundation

Russia-based VTB Bank has announced a technology partnership with Skolkovo Foundation. The partnership is expected to facilitate the development of VTB’s research centre at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow. The new development centre is expected to allow the Bank to speed up its IT goals through new infrastructure and capability improvements.

“VTB’s new position as a key partner of the Fund and being able to access the Skolkovo ecosystem, as well as the experience and expertise accumulated by its team in developing and commercializing technologies will help us make a huge technological leap forward,” said Sergey Bezbogov, senior Vice President and head of the IT organization and management Department at VTB Bank.

According to VTB, the integration with Skolkovo ecosystem is expected to drive returns in sectors including big data, algorithms, digital security technologies, production process and business systems efficiency.

Recently, VTB Group announced the launch of ‘Digital Credit’, a digital platform to facilitate lending to large corporate clients.

Within the framework of the partnership agreement, a three-year action plan has been developed aimed at attracting and developing the most promising technological projects in the field of digital security, neurotechnology and artificial intelligence, AR/VR technologies, fintech and distributed registries. Investment in innovation is investment in the future.” said Konstantin Parshin, Vice President and Executive Director of the Skolkovo Foundation’s IT cluster.
