Viva Wallet to accelerate Bancontact payments acceptance in Europe

European cloud-based digital payments provider, Viva Wallet has entered into a partnership with a Belgian innovator, Bancontact Payconiq Company in a bid to offer acquiring services to the company, thus developing the acceptance of Bancontact payment scheme among merchants across Europe.

“We are happy to enter into this partnership and provide Belgian consumers the opportunity to pay with their Bancontact cards either online or at the physical retail with a peace of mind and unparalleled convenience. Viva Wallet allows our merchants to accept 25 payment methods and we are excited to have Bancontact amongst them,” said Viva Wallet’s Belgium Country Manager, Dimitris Papaioannou.

According to the supplier, Bancontact customers can make use of their Bancontact debit card in any shop or retailer utilizing Viva Wallet card machine across Europe. The partnership will see Bancontact & Viva run a joint promotional campaign for the acceleration of utilization of Bancontact’s cards at Viva Wallet terminals.
