US FinTech Digital Motors hires former Volkswagen CEO

Digital MotorsDigital Motors, an automotive retail and financial technology provider has appointed Hinrich J. Woebcken, former President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America Inc as a senior advisor.

As a part of the new role, Hinrich will provide advisory services on value proposition and automotive OEM (original equipment manufacturer) relationships according to a statement.

Woebcken is a board member, investor, and advisor to companies in the automotive and related tech industries. He also advises private equity funds on large M&A transactions. Most recently, Woebcken was President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America Inc. He has a total of 30 years of experience in the automotive and manufacturing industries, with nearly 10 years with BMW in senior executive positions.
