IHS Markit has announced that Swiss Bank, Union Bancaire Privée, has selected its Enterprise Data Management(EDM) solution in a bid to transform the latter’s front to back-office systems for delivering cleansed data and securing the bank’s private and asset management arms.

“We decided to implement EDM as part of a strategic review of our technology infrastructure,” said Laurent Nicolaï de Gorhez, UBP Chief Operating Officer Asset Management. “The flexibility and strong reputation of EDM were important factors for us in the decision-making process. While the initial phases of the project will focus on data quality and security master, we will be able to extend EDM to other use cases, such as data governance, in the future.”

IHS Markit is a critical information, analytics and solutions provider, delivering next-generation information, analytics and solutions to customers in business, finance and government, improving their operational efficiency and providing deep insights.

“Working with UBP brings our Swiss EDM client count to ten and reinforces our position as a leader for data management solutions in this market,” said Andrew Eisen, global head of EDM and thinkFolio at IHS Markit. “As UBP embarks on its new technology program, the EDM platform will interface with the firm’s investment management platform to ensure reconciliation and distribution of clean data to downstream systems.
