Gerrit Seidel, Chairman of solarisBank

Berlin-based SolarisBank that enables digital companies to create custom solutions for their unique financial needs is adding Thom Rasser as new CFO and Hima Mandali as new CTO.

Gerrit Seidel, Chairman of solarisBank, said: “We are very pleased to have Thom Rasser, an experienced finance and credit portfolio expert, join solarisBank as CFO. With their international experience, our two new colleagues will be great assets in the continued expansion of solarisBank.”

Thom Rasser will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer from the 15th of August 2019 as a member of the Management Board. The new CFO Thom Rasser has experience in the international banking world with 20 years at Dutch NIBC Bank in various management positions. The Dutchman is currently also a member of the FinLeap Advisory Board, which he will resign from before joining solarisBank. At solarisBank, the dutchman will be responsible for regulatory and credit portfolio management in addition to managing the financial and risk organization. Hima Mandali will be joining solarisBank as Chief Technology Officer on the 29th of July 2019. Hima’s comes with an experience of ten years of at Capital One, most recently as Director of Software Engineering.

In addition to this, Solarisbank will also extend Roland Folz’s service contract till 2024. Under the Ex banker’s tenure SolarisBank has grown from 78 to 240 employees and has raised a total of more than EUR 82 million through the company’s March 2017 Series A and March 2018 Series B funding rounds.

Solarisbank is a Berlin-based fintech company that offers Banking as a Platform (BaaP) services with its German banking license.
