Refinitiv’s widgets will be available across devices

Refinitiv has added HTML-5 responsive widgets to its solutions for wealth management firms in a move to provide easily deployable content and market data.

The digital tools deliver a customisable suite of widget capabilities to the Refinitiv portal. It is designed to support the experience of the firms, as Refinitiv’s own data shows that over 50 per cent of wealth managers say providing a more sophisticated digital experience is a challenge.

The HTML-5 responsive widgets provide a way for firms to deploy Refinitiv’s content and market data while allowing customers to optimise and customise their digital experiences for end-users, available across devices.

According to Refinitiv, its off-the-shelf widget capabilities are designed to maximise the value of the content and insights, leveraging new features and functionality being delivered via its data platforms.

Christopher Sparke, Global Head of Digital Solutions at Refinitiv, said: “Wealth managers are digitally transforming all aspects of their business and require scalable, open, flexible and unified data integration solutions in a digital-first environment.

“As the wealth management industry continues its digital transformation, we at Refinitiv are committed to developing next-generation wealth portal solutions that provide our clients with the data, technology and insight to empower better decisions and user engagement.”

The suite of widgets will continue to expand, and will in the coming year include an environmental, social and governance (ESG) data service.

Alois Pirker, Research Director, Aite Group, said: “Wealth management firms are under great pressure to shift away from run-of-the-mill offerings and develop unique experiences for their clients and advisors. Firms that will get this transition right will be better able to articulate the value proposition they offer their clients and at the same time be in a good spot to differentiate from their competition. Refinitiv’s widget capabilities will further allow wealth management firms to respond to the ever-faster changing client needs in an effective manner.”
